Library bookshelves

At Southwestern schools, we pride ourselves in assuring each school library contains high-interest books, both fiction and non-fiction. We welcome our students to think, create, share, and grow in their reading. Our libraries are a place for inquiry, inclusion, collaboration, curation, exploration, and engagement. Southwestern students are learners who display curiosity and initiative by formulating questions about a personal interest or a curricular topic; adopt a discerning stance toward points of view and opinions expressed in information resources and learning products; demonstrate their desire to broaden and deepen understandings; make critical choices about information sources; engage in inquiry-based processes for personal growth; and understand the ethical use of information, technology, and media.

Students can order books through the Illinois Heartland Share Library website.  Click on the link for your school to order books. You must enter your library card barcode and password to access the site.
